Founder of Carolina Comfort Coalition
Cheryl Pletcher is a Registered Nurse from Mooresville. She has been certified in hospice and palliative nursing care, with 30 years of nursing and management experience. Cheryl has been the Director of a Home Care and Hospice Agency in New York State. She works as a nurse with hospice at the hospice house in Huntersville.
Pletcher brought the “comfort care home” model to North Carolina with the establishment of Serenity House of Mooresville. She created and developed the Carolina Comfort Coalition as the corporate non-profit agency to establish several comfort care homes in the Lake Norman area to serve the community with end-of-life care at no charge. She is current serves as executive director of the Coalition.
Cheryl has been published in the Home Healthcare Nurse magazine for her hospice patient related experience. She was the first director of a comfort care home, Teresa House, in Geneseo, NY, which continues successfully today.
Her purpose is to make the world a better place. and her heart is for families as they travel the uncharted road at the end of life.
